Day 5, Island RIB Safari and Puffins

Start the day with a short ferry ride to the Westman Islands just off the south coast of Iceland. It has since recovered and is now one of Iceland’s most successful fishing ports. Here you will experience something unique. We will go on an exciting RIB safari tour around the islands and bounce on the waves while checking out the archipelago’s nature, wildlife and sea caves. Before returning to the mainland hike Mt Eldfell (Fire Mountain), the mountain born in the 1973 eruption and explore the area where the lava flowed and buried many of the houses on the island.
